This miniature bone die may have been used in a variety of games and entertainment within New Place. It was recovered from the backfill deposits, but from the design of the spots, it is most likely to date to the early medieval period, and henceforth would be associated with Hugh Clopton’s New Place rather than Shakespeare’s.
