Glazed Roof Tile

An example of the olive green-glazed decorative ridge tiles found during the excavations of New Place. These would have given the New Place roof a very distinctive and colourful appearance at its apex. Like the examples of green glazed pottery recovered from the site, these tiles were likely to have been produced at Chilvers Coton, Warwickshire.
